Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long does it take for my order to get shipped?
A: We fulfill orders typically on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. If you placed an order on a shipping day AFTER 3pm, your order will be shipped on the next shipping day.
Q: How long does shipping usually take?
A: Depending on your location, our standard shipping takes anywhere between 2-5 days.
Q: Do I need to refrigerate my Dan Dan Sauce before opening?
A: Our Dan Dan Sauce is shelf stable and doesn't need to be refrigerated for up to 12 months!
Q: Do I need to refrigerate my Dan Dan Sauce after opening?
A: If you are able to keep the sauce free of contaminants such as saliva (think saliva covered spoon), the product doesn't need to be refrigerated after opening. However if you're unsure of how clean you can keep it, just put it in the fridge.
Q: Are there any special instructions for keeping the sauce from spoiling?
A: Typically, as long as the sauce still has a layer of oil on top, it won't go moldy. Once the sesame based sauce is no longer covered in oil, which can happen when you get to the end of the jar, we suggest using up the rest of the sauce as quickly as possible.
Q: How do I use the Dan Dan Sauce? Does it need to be processed or seasoned?
A: We created the Dan Dan Sauce to be a ready-to-eat sauce because we want to help you save time on meal prep and clean up, so you can have more time to enjoy your meal with family and friends. The Dan Dan Sauce is already seasoned and is perfectly balanced on its own. It doesn't need to be heated or processed.
